A Comfortable Childbirth
Our Obstetric Department has 2 Birthing Suites that are designed with your comfort in mind. After delivery you will move into a postpartum room where you and your baby will receive the personalized and individual care and attention you deserve.
• Our highly educated staff works in partnership with your obstetrical care provider to support you every step of the way.
• Our beautiful birthing rooms offer a warm, cozy, homelike environment. With advanced technology in each room, you can feel safe and secure during your birthing experience.
• A rocking chair / sleeper chair in each birthing room and each postpartum room allows for your partner or loved one to stay with you around the clock.
• Private Postpartum rooms are equipped with everything needed to provide a place of comfort, peace, and the opportunity to bond as a new family.
• You can choose to room in with your baby as often as you wish. When you need to rest or prefer some time alone, our nursing staff will provide care for your newborn in the newborn nursery.
• The Level 1 Nursery is a 6 bed unit where newborns are cared for with the latest in technology.
• All staff in the GAH OB Department are certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and STABLE.
