Shawnna Brantley Awarded GAHHS Employee of the Month for September
September 18, 2012
Shawnna Brantley has been awarded the Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) September Employee of the Month.
Shawnna, born and raised in Coal City, now calls Piper City her home town. Shawnna, an Emergency Department RN, has worked at GAHHS for 5 years. She received her RN Degree from Kankakee Community College and has continued her education to become a Board Certified Emergency Nurse and a certified Trauma Nurse Specialist.
Shawnna says that she really enjoys working at GAHHS because of the small town atmosphere it provides.
“I love the small town close-knit feel of the hospital,” said Shawnna. “It gives me the ability to get to know my co-worker, patients and their families better. This in turn gives me the ability to provide the very best care for them.”
Shawnna and her husband, Donnie, have two children; Michael, 21, and Alyssa, 15. They enjoy camping, fishing and playing with their 2 dogs; a Basset Hound and a Rottweiler.
