GAH Has Been Named The #1 Hospital in the Nation For Overall Patient Satisfaction
October 20, 2011

For the second time in 3 years Gibson Area Hospital (GAH) has been named the #1 hospital in the Nation for overall patient satisfaction.
GAHHS CEO, Rob Schmitt, said this number one ranking is the reward for the extra effort everyone at GAHHS puts in day in and day out. “It is a testament to the great work, dedication, and hard work of our staff, physicians, volunteers, and the Board that has allowed Gibson Area Hospital to not only achieve this status, but to sustain and maintain the benchmark of being number 1 in the country.”
This ranking is awarded by Arbor Associates, Inc. an independent organization that survey’s patient satisfaction for hospitals across the nation. Arbor Associates collects Survey information via personal telephone interviews with recent patients. This allows for more accurate and higher response rates. Telephone interviews also provide extensive patient comments that clarify what patients truly appreciated about the care they received and what could have been done to improve their satisfaction.
