The Gibson Area Hospital Auxiliary will offer eight scholarships this year for students going into the medical field.
This year the GAH Auxiliary is proud to announce it will be offering three Verna Buck Scholarship for those going into nursing. Two of these are $2000 scholarships and the third is a scholarship for $1000.

Gibson Area Hospital Baby Central welcomed Hannah Verna May Henning as the first baby of 2014. Hannah arrived January 1, 2014 at 4:05 a.m. weighing 5 pounds 10 ounce and measuring 18.5 inches long. Hannah was welcomed into this world by her parents Dexter Henning and Kelly Wendel, from Gibson City, as well as her brother Trey Wendel. Hannah was delivered by Kathrine Austman, M.D.

Family Nurse Practitioner Kate Rosenbeck was born in Russia and at the age of 11 moved to the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She went on to graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Science. Kate then continued her education and earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
