Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) is a full-service hospital with state-of-the-art equipment and over 700 highly trained employees. We are pleased to offer job shadowing experiences to students who are interested in exploring the wide array of challenging and rewarding positions that the healthcare field has to offer!
To job shadow at GAHHS, you must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
If you are interested in a job shadowing experience at GAHHS, please submit your online application. You will be required to upload the following documents, so please have these ready before starting the application process:

Proof of 2 MMR vaccines or immunity to MMR by titer

Proof of 2 varicella vaccines or immunity to varicella by titer

Receipt of Covid-19 Vaccine(s)
- Receipt of this year's flu vaccine – if not completed, students can still shadow but must mask in all patient care areas (including settings that do not currently require masking
This immunization information must be submitted before we can schedule any experiences.
To protect our patients and staff, for the week before and during the experience, students are asked to avoid contact with people with known COVID-19 or any communicable illness, practice social distancing, mask indoors, and complete diligent hand hygiene. Proof of a negative COVID-19 assay that is done within 48 hours of the experience may be required in certain circumstances (GAHHS does not provide this testing).
