Dr. Maria Hernandez provides Gynecologic and Urogynecology care to females age 10+.

Dr. Hernandez if a graduate of the University of Iowa, College of Medicine, completed residency at Phoenix Integrated Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Phoenix, AZ, and continued on to complete a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Hernandez is fluent in Spanish and dual Board Certified specializing in Gynecology/Urogynecology treatment options including medical and surgical options.

Gynecology Services & Care: 

Treatment of abnormal pap smears – including colposcopy and biopsies, interpretation and management of results, and treatment with LEEP

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD)/Infections (STI) – screening & treatment

Menstrual Issues – PMS, excessively heavy or painful menses, irregularities, and absence of menses

Chronic gynecologic pain

Urogynecology Services & Care: 

Pelvic organ prolapse – uterine prolapse, vaginal vault prolapse, cystocele, and rectocele management & surgical repair.

Recurrent urinary tract infections

Urinary incontinence – evaluation and treatment with or without surgery.

Urinary retention.

Urinary tract infection – testing and treatment.

Overactive bladder – evaluation & treatment.

Painful bladder syndrome

Vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistulas

Chronic constipation

Fecal incontinence

Management and mesh erosions/revisions and mid-urethral slings

Pessary placement & management for prolapse and urinary incontinence

Office urodynamic testing, cystoscopy, and Botox therapy.
