IRHA President Mark Stevens presents Dr. Darrin Ray with his Rural Physician of Excellence Award
The Illinois Rural Health Association (IRHA) has recognized Dr. Darrin Ray, M.D. as an outstanding rural physician in Illinois. On September 20, 2011, Dr. Ray received the Rural Physician of Excellence Award because of his outstanding service and dedication to improve the health and well–being of the rural and underserved residents in Central Illinois.
Dr. Ray currently practices at the Family Health Clinic in Farmer City and said that the reason he received this award is because of the support he receives from the Farmer City Community and GAHHS. “Without the support of the people of Farmer City and Gibson Area Hospital I would not be able to continue to provide such great patient care.” Dr.Ray continued, “I may have received this award, but it is actually for everyone who continues to support me.”
