Teresa Ferguson has been awarded the Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services
(GAHHS) November Employee of the Month.
Teresa, born and raised in Gibson City, began working at GAH as a CNA when she was 17years-old. She would continue on at GAH for 14 years until she moved to Indiana. A year ago she decided it was time to move back to Gibson City and the first place she applied for a job was at GAH.
“I was so happy when I got the call back to work in housekeeping,” said Teresa. “I truly feel I’ve come full circle and I am back home in every way. I had such a great extended family when I left and it has only gotten bigger since I came back”
For Teresa, GAH is a more than a job, it is a family tradition. Her dad, Leon, and mom, Faye, both worked at GAH. Her sister Kim has worked at GAH for 14 years and now her daughter Sam has joined the GAHHS family.
In her free time Teresa loves watching her granddaughter cheer on the Might Mites, “grabbing some wings” with her sister at Buffalo Wild Wings and just spending time enjoying life with her friends and family.
