Eugene Bork has been awarded the Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) March Employee of the Month.
Eugene, a groundskeeper with GAHHS for 3 years, calls Paxton his home but was born and raised in Onarga. Before becoming part of the GAHHS family, Eugene worked in the family business at Bork Nurseries in Onarga for over 25 years. Now that he is with GAHHS, Eugene couldn’t be happier.
“I really enjoy my job at the hospital,” said Eugene. “I enjoy working with everyone on a daily basis. Our Administration does a great job to make us one of the best hospitals in Illinois and we in the Facilities crew want to reflect that. We all really work hard as a team and help each other out when needed to get the job done.”
Eugene enjoys spending as much time with his supporting wife, Amy and their children. He has two sons Jacob and Corey, as well as a daughter and step-daughter that share the same name, Emily.
In his free time Eugene likes to catch up on sports and mowing yards.
