Adam Elder has been awarded the Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) April Employee of the Month.
Adam, a lifetime resident of Gibson City, has been a part of the GAHHS Family for the past 11 years and is currently the EMS Operations Coordinator. He has both a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Patient Safety Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
"One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is being able to help carry out the mission set forth by this hospital," said Adam. "GAHHS has been a great asset to this community but, I also believe that this community has been great for our hospital. We have a lot of loyal customers and it is enjoyable to be able to interact with these folks in the community."
Adam said that he loves his job and our organization is what truly makes GAHHS a great place to work.
Adam explained, "I enjoy working here because GAHHS truly does care for it employees. This hospital goes above and beyond when it comes to employee appreciation and for that I am sincerely grateful."
Adam’s wife, Kristy, also works at GAH as a Clinical Educator. Together they have two boys Lane, 4, and Landon, 3. Away from GAH Adam is just as busy, he sits on the board of a couple area non-profits and enjoys barbequing, making his own sausage and bacon, golfing and watching Cardinals baseball.
