Paxton resident Jan Wilson has been named Employee of the Month by Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services. Wilson, an eighteen year veteran of GAHHS, serves as the office manager for Gibson Area Hospital clinics in Hoopeston, Onarga, Paxton, and Potomac.
Wilson, a National Rural Health Certified Medical Coder, enjoys traveling to each of the four clinics, spending time in the facilities to prepare them for inspections and proactively identifying matters that need her attention. Wilson finds creating a positive work environment and building professional relationships to be rewarding aspects of her position.
Working for an organization that she believes “truly cares for their employees and is very supportive of employees’ personal career goals” has enabled her to perform well as her responsibilities have expanded. Wilson has recently overseen several beneficial changes in the clinic system, including the expansion into Potomac and the clinic relocation in Onarga. In addition, she eagerly anticipates the building project for the Hoopeston clinic.
When not managing rural healthcare clinics throughout East Central Illinois, Wilson likes to read Christian fiction books and spend time with her husband Jeff, daughters Lindsay, Jodie and Kellie, and grandchildren Ryenne, Braylen and Karleigh.
