Nursing Excellence Award Winners 2014

Today is the first of our many Nursing Excellence Awards!

Congratulations to Ashley Hethke, RN, and Pat Lemke, LPN!

Ashley Hethke, RN, is a skilled ICU nurse working in the PACU. She was nominated for the Nursing Excellence Award for demonstrating the care and compassion of a dedicated nurse. She is an advocate for her patients and a true team player, displaying a positive, can do attitude. According to a coworker, “The values she upholds, and the skill set that she uses, are aligned with the tradition of high nursing standards.”

Pat Lemke, LPN, works with Dr Spangler. She was nominated for this award by someone who has been a recipient of her care, as well as her grandmother, mother, father, husband, and son. “She has always had a positive, caring attitude and treats us like family,” they wrote, adding that “she is always a bright spot in a day that might be bad for health reasons.”
