Becker's Hospital Review has published its list of "50 Rural Hospital CEOs to Know," which features some of the most impressive leaders dedicated to advancing healthcare in small towns and rural communities.
Individuals included on the list include CEOs and administrators of hospitals located outside of a major metropolitan areas or healthcare hubs. This is the second edition of the "Rural Hospital CEOs to Know" list.
For the second year in a row, Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) CEO, Rob Schmitt has been named among these top 50 CEOs. Of the 50 CEOs selected from hospitals all over the country, only Rob Schmitt and one other CEO represent Illinois on the Becker’s CEOs to Know list.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected leaders through an editorial review process where a number of factors were considered, including awards received; local, regional and national leadership positions held; and their organizations' recent performance. Nominations were also considered.
