Gibson Area Hospital Baby Central welcomed Jesse Amos Grimes Jr. as the first baby of 2016. Jesse arrived January 1, 2016 at 2:19 a.m. weighing 6 pounds 3 ounce and measuring 20 inches long. Jesse was welcomed into the world by his parents Jesse Amos Grimes and Amanda Lynn Ratts from Rantoul. Jesse was delivered by Katherine Austman, MD.
The family was presented with a gift bag filled with baby items donated by the Gibson Area Hospital OB Department including baby outfits, books, plush toy animals, and a bank, as well as champagne flutes inscribe with” It’s a Boy!” from the GAH Auxiliary Gift Shop. They also received a hat and blanket made especially for the occasion by GAH Auxiliary volunteers and $100 Gibson Bucks from the GAH Administration.
