Robert Schmitt, FACHE, FHFMA, MBA, CPA, Chief Executive for Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services, has been selected to serve as a member of the National Quality Forum’s (NQF’s) Attribution Multi-stakeholder Committee for the Attribution: Principles and Approaches Project.
The goal of this project is to produce a report that provides an environmental scan of the current models of attribution, an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the models, and finally, recommendations on a path forward to guide the selection and implementation of attribution models. "The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) nominated Mr. Schmitt in January, 2016 to this post to study attribution of patients in a population health context," stated Brock Slabach, MPH, FACHE, Senior Vice-President for Member Services of NRHA.
"This is a most important first step in defining the population to whom a healthcare facility or provider is accountable. NRHA is pleased that Mr. Schmitt will represent NRHA on this important committee which will shape the future of rural health."
