The Administration of Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services is pleased to announce that Larry de Pedro, MD, and Frank A. Wrestler, MD, PhD, have joined the medical staff to provide family health care and support the organization’s vision to be THE model of excellence in community based health-care.
Dr. Larry de Pedro will begin seeing patients at Gibson Health of Hoopeston (formerly Family Health Care of Hoopeston) on Monday, October 16th. Dr. de Pedro is a graduate of University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine and Surgery and completed his family practice residency at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois.
Dr. de Pedro was most recently the Chief of Geriatrics and Extended Care Services at the Veteran Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Danville, while also serving there as a clinical instructor for residents from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Frank Wrestler will also begin seeing patients on Monday, October 16th at Gibson Health of Mahomet (formerly Mahomet Specialty Clinic) as part of the Family Health Care of Mahomet staff. He received his medical degree from the University of Juarez and fulfilled clinical clerkships at Cook County Hospital and an internal medicine residency through the University of Illinois.
As the former Medical Director of Home-Based Primary Care and Staff Physician at the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois, Wrestler brings trusted experience in primary care, geriatrics, and internal medicine, He looks forward to caring for patients at the newly expanded location in Mahomet, as well as the Family Health Clinic of Farmer City.
