Gibson Area Hospital Baby Central welcomed Harper Ann Hills as the first baby of 2019. Harper Ann arrived January 7, 2019, at 2:20 p.m. weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Harper Ann was welcomed into the world by her parents Jaymee Smith and Danny Hills from Hoopeston and joins two siblings at home. Harper Ann was delivered by Doug Lanoue, MD.
Jaymee expressed her gratitude to the nurses at Baby Central who provided support and personal attention, commenting that they were very helpful during her labor.
The family was presented with a gift basket filled with baby items donated by the Gibson Area Hospital OB Department including a baby robe, receiving blankets, rattle and teething toys, teddy bear, travel bath set, baby outfits, board book, baby slippers, baby gowns, and other items for the family that were specially chosen from the Gibson Area Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop. They also received $100 in Gibson Bucks from the Gibson Area Hospital Administration.
