Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services(GAHHS) Congratulates Dr. Patricia Johnson on being selected as the 2022 Rural Physician Lifetime of Service Award Recipient from the Illinois Rural Health Association!
Dr. Johnson has provided Oncology services to GAHHS since 1991. She is a skilled oncologist with a loyal patient base coming from all areas throughout East Central Illinois. Dr. Johnson is passionate about bringing care to our rural communities, which allows them to seek care, close to home. Dr. Johnson sees patients from 34 zip codes. We are all fortunate to have her and access to the quality of care she provides. In addition to being an oncologist, Dr. Johnson is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the U of I. She served as the Medical Director for Iroquois Memorial Hospice in addition to several other medical directorships. Dr. Johnson has served on numerous boards throughout her career and served as an officer on many of those. Dr. Johnson has built life-long partnerships with her patients and their families and regularly receives glowing reviews from her patients, recently being referred to as “absolutely the BEST of the BEST!” We couldn’t agree more!
The Illinois Rural Health Association Rural Physician Lifetime of Service Award is geared toward physicians who have devoted their entire careers to rural practice.
